Mark Pilipczuk, Managing Director
Mark is an experienced leader and innovator in the science of direct response marketing. With over eighteen years of experience in the Internet/online, publishing and nonprofit industries, he has developed and led customer acquisition, upsell and retention programs generating tens of millions of new customer acquisitions and billions of dollars of revenue. He has a track record of leadership in marketing process improvement, testing discipline and in consistent delivery of top-to-bottom P&L results.
Prior to founding MAP Consulting, Mark was a Senior Vice President at AOL LLC, responsible first for offline marketing channels and, ultimately, for all direct response channels under his Campaign Management group. Mark’s team was responsible for over five billion annual touchpoints, acquisition of over five million customers and a marketing budget of over $250 million. Mark’s progressive experience at AOL included brand development for the successful CompuServe 2000 Premier ISP product in the retail market, serving as AOL’s first-ever Marketing Director for the AOL Broadband broadband products and ultimately leading all Broadband business unit marketing planning, forecasting and analytics as Vice President for Broadband Strategy and Planning.
Mark also has a background in fundraising, serving as Vice President of Marketing for World Wildlife Fund, where he was responsible for the membership and travel programs, partner marketing, member services, and the marketing database. During his tenure at WWF, Mark exceeded net income goals by 19% by increasing average gift size through improved targeting and new partnerships, including relationships with Ty Inc. and Masterfoods. He focused on driving more fundraising online through the aggressive implementation of analytics platforms, driving SEM and SEO programs and ultimately growing the online supporter/donor file by more than 200%.
He started his career in publishing with the Malmo, Sweden-based International Masters Publishers, the world leader in direct mail sold continuity series. Mark ultimately ran the Home & Hobby product family group and developed the curriculum and served as an instructor for IMP’s DM Advanced course at the company’s worldwide training center in Marbella, Spain.
Mark holds a B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from Utica College and an MBA from the Pace University Lubin Graduate School of Business.
He serves as a Vice Chairperson of Utica College’s Board of Trustees, a member of the executive committee of the Board and Chairperson of the marketing and innovation committee. He also serves on the board of RHR Corporation.
